How are veneers placed?

Placing dental veneers is simple.This process will take two office visits. At the first visit, Dr. King will prepare the tooth, or teeth, to receive the veneer. Dr. King will need to permanently alter the original tooth structure. He will reduce some of the original tooth structure. Next, he will take a mold or impression of your teeth which will be sent to our dental lab. A temporary veneer is placed until your permanent veneer is ready. The veneer will be created in the lab and we will notify you when we have received it.

At your second appointment, with your new permanent porcelain veneers ready, Dr. King will check the fit and then bond the veneer into place. Our goal is to make sure your veneer fits correctly and comfortably, giving you a flawless look.

How do I take care of my new veneers?

You will appreciate how easy it is to care for your new porcelain veneers. You can brush and floss daily just as you would care for your natural teeth. During your regular dental appointments, Dr. King will check the bond on your veneers, but they should last for years to come.
